“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.
The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The Lord has made them both.
To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they should turn, And their sins be forgiven them.’
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.”
